Scientific and editorial policy
The unit of content is a specific gene–condition, gene–drug or variant–trait relationship, not a claim about a ‘gene in general’.
Separate scales
Relationship validity, effect size, clinical actionability and technical detectability are reported separately. CPIC/DPWG professional guidelines, FDA/EMA/national regulatory labels and country clinical guidance retain their own statuses and are not collapsed into a single score or approval mark.
Records and versions
Every record includes sources, an update date, a use boundary and material limitations. Material evidence or guideline changes trigger review of the relevant relationship.
Review disclosure
‘Expert reviewed’ is used only when the real reviewer’s identity, qualification, role, date, scope and conflict declaration are disclosed. Editorial source checking is not presented as external clinical review.
AI tools
AI tools may support structure, search, translation and draft wording. They are not authors or reviewers; every medical claim must remain verifiable through the cited source.
Conflicts
Funding, free samples, partnerships and affiliate links are disclosed next to relevant content and must not alter assessment criteria.
Corrections
Material errors can be reported through the ‘Found an error?’ page or to help@mika.help. Corrections are published after verification and material change history is retained editorially.
